Disease Control & Prevention

To control disease at Sindar Kennel, all dogs must be on the following disease prevention protocol:

	Monthly flea prevention
	Monthly heartworm prevention
	Monthly intestinal worm prevention (usually included in heartworm prevention product in combination)
	Kennel cough vaccine (Bordetella) within previous six months

	Also for dogs under 3 years of age: -Yearly distemper/parvovirus vaccine or positive blood titer -Yearly rabies vaccine or positive blood titer
	Or for dogs over 3 years of age that has had yearly vaccines the first three years of life: -Distemper/parvovirus vaccine in the last three years or positive blood titer -Rabies vaccine in the last three years or positive blood titer

Sindar Kennel practices a strict disinfection and cross contamination prevention protocol to ensure your dog's continuing well being. We are able to do this without exposing your dog to any harsh chemicals. Our protocol will be reviewed with each client during the interview process.

Sindar Kennel follows the vaccination recommendations of Dr. W. Jean Dodds, DMV of HEMOPET in Santa Monica, California.
